Rental Housing Projects "In Development"
United Cerebral Palsy of Texas (UCP Texas) has received approval for funds under the US Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Section 811 program to develop, own, and manage 10 one-bedroom units of scattered-site, integrated housing for people with disabilities. The site of the project is located in north central Austin conveniently located to shopping, bus service and community activities. The development is a 180 unit condo conversion project (rehabilitation to an extended stay hotel). Planned occupancy for early 2008.
UCP Texas has also submitted an Application for Fund Reservation under the Section 811 Supportive Housing for People with Disabilities Program to develop, own, and manage an additional 10 units (6 one-bedroom and 4 two-bedroom) of scattered-site, integrated housing for people with disabilities in this 180 unit condo development. Planned occupancy for these units would be later in 2008.
