HOYO El Paso If you're a person with a disability and dream of owning a home in El Paso County, here's some good news: HOYO IS HERE! The El Paso Home of Your Own Coalition offers three innovative programs to help people with disabilities overcome the most common barriers to homeownership. You may be eligible for one or more of these exciting programs: Down Payment AssistanceDown payment and closing cost assistance for qualified buyers is available through funds from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. Additional funds may also be available through the City of El Paso's First Time Homebuyer Program.
HomeChoices Home MortgageAn innovative home mortgage loan product sponsored by Fannie Mae may offer the flexibility needed to help you qualify for a loan.
Home Modification FundsWe'll explore funding opportunities to help pay for modifications and remove barriers to make your home accessible.
You May Be Eligible!To be eligible for HOYO assistance, you must: · Have a documentable disability; · Meet income guidelines; · Qualify for mortgage financing and be able to make some contribution towards the down payment and upfront fees from your own funds; and · Complete the HOYO orientation and homebuyer education classes.
