HOYO Needs You!United Cerebral Palsy of Texas created the Texas Home of Your Own Coalition in 1995 to address a critical shortage of accessible, affordable housing for Texans with disabilities. Today HOYO serves people with disabilities and their families through projects in several major metropolitan areas. We are working to serve more Texans with disabilities by building new partnerships with lenders, realtors, homebuilders, disability advocacy organizations and others throughout Texas. Our greatest satisfaction is helping people realize the full meaning of two simple words-I'm home! How can you help? Glad you asked! You can: · participate in a local HOYO project committee, · donate cash to provide direct assistance to people with disabilities participating in HOYO programs, · help identify local resources for accessible and affordable housing, and/or · educate the business, housing and lending communities about people with disabilities and their housing needs.
